Defining Difficult-to-Manage SLE

Defining difficult-to-manage systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a key step toward improving patient care, standardizing research, and identifying unmet needs in clinical practice. Given the complexity and heterogeneity of SLE, a comprehensive and holistic definition is required.

Importantly, this work is built in partnership with patients and healthcare professionals, recognizing that the patient experience is essential to understanding what “difficult-to-manage” truly means in real life.
