Lupus Ontario’s 2026 WALK season has officially wrapped, bringing together nearly 1,100 supporters across 15 community walks from May through September 15 and raising more than $155,000 to support people living with lupus across Ontario.
From spring through early fall, communities across the province came together to walk, connect and raise funds for lupus research, education, advocacy and support programs. Each WALK offered an opportunity for people affected by lupus, families, friends, healthcare professionals, volunteers and community members to stand together and take another step forward for lupus.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made the 2026 WALK season possible. Every person who registered, fundraised, volunteered, sponsored a WALK or simply showed up helped build awareness and support for the lupus community. Reaching more than $155,000 is a tremendous accomplishment, and it would not have happened without the dedication of our WALK community across Ontario.
We are also grateful to the elected officials and community leaders who joined WALK events across the province and helped shine a light on the importance of lupus awareness and support.

Taking Another Step Forward
While the 2026 WALK season has come to an end, the momentum continues.
The more than $155,000 raised through this year’s WALKs will help Lupus Ontario raise important funds for the Geoff Carr Lupus Research Fellowship, support lupus education and support programs, and advance advocacy efforts to improve services for lupus patients.
